The location and outside appearance
Not very welcoming. No restaurant or bar on Saturday or Sunday evenings (and there is nowhere in the town for even a drink on a Sunday evening) which I did not notice on the website. Toiletries minimal. Only ate one evening meal - a disaster Only when I pressed, and after we were seated, did I find out why there were only two main dishes on offer (gas failure) and the ambiance was not enjoyable. No comfortable chairs in bedroom. We reported loose roof tiles, visible from our room, above where cars parked; staff not interested. A mix up over room numbers (no one to take you to your room) indicated keys for 1st floor rooms open other rooms. Compares extremely unfavourably with the other two French hotels we stayed in and it was the most expensive when you count in breakfast. When we gave feedback to manager he was not receptive. We will try to avoid Inter Hotels in future.

The Hostellerie Blanche De Castille was VERY accommodating to our late arrival. This was also a lovely place to stay in a great location.

Restaurant not open for dinner. Walls of rooms very thin, noisy. Breakfast was poor value. Staff unresponsive.

Situated very centrally in the stunning little town of Dourdan, and an interesting old building adjacent to the castle ramparts and the church - also within easy walking distance of all shops and restaurants.
The interior is currently being 'modernised' which, although the bedrooms are now very simple, modern and clean, has resulted in them being somewhat bleak and the general interior design has little sympathy with the character and history of the ancient building. The dining room and common areas downstairs, clearly tired and in need of redecoration, were still to be 'modernised' at the time of our visit so the dining room was closed for dinner (about which we had not been forewarned). We hoped that these public rooms would not also completely lose their original charm in the somewhat ruthless modernisation process.

A great stopping off place if travelling to Calais from South of France. Beautiful setting next to. A stunning castle. Restaurant closed when we were there just for one night in August though and very limited options to eat in evening nearby.

The room was spacious and well suited for a family. The hotel (to our surprise) was in the middle of a mideaval town. We had a nice walk about.
The dinner was ok. They offered a kids dish with fish. We asked if they had some chicken. After inquiry in the kitchen they offered duck which we tried to pass as chicken to the kids. This was the same duck as the main course of the three course menu for adults. The next day, during 'check out' it turned out they put eur 28,- for the kids on the bill, the same price as for adults. I had asked for the bill the night before, this was not necessary. Now I know why... I had inquired at what time we could chech out. The lady behind the reception said that there would be someone at 7 am. When we went down around 7.15 no-one was there and we left out credit card number at the lady of the breakfast.

Dourdan is a bit of a find and the hotel is at the heart of it. We used it for a stop during a north/south car journey and the room was good for a family - separate room for the kids and a small kitchen.
Like many French hotels a beautiful historic facade gives way to slightly tired, functional accommodation. For the price, the decor and furniture of the room could have been better. Ideal for a stop over - no good for a holiday or romantic break.

It is a pretty hotel in a rather dull town. The part of the room that had been cleaned was spacious and comfortable. It is convenient to stop there before driving past Paris
Le monsieur was unwelcoming on arrival although his wife was charming. The bathroom in our room had not been touched so that had to be rectified immediately and was. The restaurant was closed and the hotel were unhelpful as to where we could eat on a Monday night. I had to walk right round the town to find somewhere open. All in all a soulless experience

Town centre and good parking
Rooms were very hot, no a/c, no reception on arrival 8pm.

Very clean, quaint and set in a lovely little town.
The beds were lumpy and uncomfortable. The shower was badly designed with a little glass panel that didn't keep water in. The floor was very wet, even taking great care. It would have been nice to have water bottles or coffee service in the room.

Good location. Quiet room. Good choice for breakfast, and helpful waitress.
Hotel reception staff not particularly welcoming or helpful. Room very basic and sparsely furnished for a 3 star hotel.

Location
Staff disorganised and extremely rude and grumpy. Key for friends room not left as arranged due to our late arrival, forcing us to share a room. No apology from staff.
